Merry Christmas

Not at all because we’re tight or disorganised, and purely to save the environment and the posties’ legs, we have sent very few Christmas cards this year; instead we’d like to use this medium to wish all our friends and family a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We’re already up North for the holidays and here are a couple of family portraits:

Walking (and signing for water)

Eilidh’s walking has made quite a lot of progress within the last week. Here’s a video showing how steady she is when she wants to be. We felt a bit guilty when we watched the video and realised that she had signed that she wanted water from the kitchen table, but we were so busy trying to capture her walking on video that we missed the sign. Ooops!

Eilidh’s First (proper) Shoes

Eilidh got her first pair of proper shoes yesterday (8th Dec). They’re sooooooo wee! They’re a size 2.5G. They seem to be giving her a bit more confidence in trying to walk on our new laminate flooring in the lounge and dining room…maybe that was a bit cruel of us to get rid of the carpet before she could walk on her own!

Here’s a picture of her trying them on in the shop:

It’s hard to see how truly girly the shoes are from that picture so here’s a close up:
