The Cowes are taking over the world!

First of all a huge congratulations to Uncy Rhys and Aunty Cam who became the proud parents of Charis June Cowe today at 2am. We’re glad to hear that everyone is well and can’t wait to see you all.

Secondly we’d like to let all our friends and family know that Eilidh is expecting a little brother or sister on the 21st July. Jo had the first scan today at 12 weeks, shortly after hearing about Charis, and all was well…and there is definitely only one in there! This one seemed a little more chilled than Eilidh – she was trampolining at the same stage. There are a couple of pictures from the scan below. Watch this space for updates and the Jo versus the lounge door rematch.

Christmas and New Year in The North

We spent a great week over Christmas in Insch (the back of beyond, ‘near’ Aberdeen) with Grandma Frances and Grandpa Ian. We had lots of fun swimming, visiting friends, walking along the beach and up Dunnydeer Hill to the hill fort (see photo below), visiting Great Granny. playing a thankfully more modern version of Trivial Pursuit that Jo and Glyn had at least some chance of answering a question in, and going on our first date in over a year.

We then headed back south to spend a quiet New Year in the Northumbrian back of beyond with Grandma Lesley and Grandad John and to celebrate Grandad John’s 60th Birthday in a low key fashion (shhhhh, he doesn’t want the world to know!).

Being in the back of beyond for 2 weeks seems to have had some effect on Eilidh with evidence of regression to a cave baby. Anyone remember Bambam from the Flintstones?
